Overview
Of the "Bristol Flight Sim Show 2005"
-
Are you
very interested in flight sim?
-
Do you
want to meet other flight sim
enthusiasts and user organisations?
-
Do you
want to see and try the latest
flight sim products?
-
Are you
fed up of the "typical exhibitions"
and fancy something a bit less
manic?
Then the
"revamped" 12th annual RC Simulations
show is for you!
We are
holding a show again this year, but the
format will be quite different from previous
eleven years. We are holding it in Bristol and
would like to get back to the original
concept of a meeting place for flight
simulation enthusiasts. The Birmingham
show which although extremely enjoyable
and growing larger by the year, was
becoming somewhat manic, competitive and
stressful to organise. We wanted to take
a step back, create some space and allow
somewhere for people to go where they
could enjoy what they see. We decided on
the
Beeches Hotel & Conference Centre, as
it's a lovely Victorian mansion situated
in 22 acres. We have the booked the
entire complex. There will be various
rooms with lots of different things
going on within the house and also a
large external hall within the grounds
where we will put additional displays.
We have arranged for catering during the
day in their restaurant where you will
be able to buy sandwiches, snacks and
drinks etc.
We will also
try to arrange a social in the evening
if there is enough interest within the
same venue.
And for
those not into flight sim who have come
for the ride... (wives, children,
partners etc..)
We are by
the Park and Ride into central
Bristol... so loads of shopping, museums
and various attractions. We're not too
far from historic Bath too (in the
opposite direction, via a bus on the
main road!). There is a few out of town
stores within walking distance and (if
you must) a McDonalds just for good
measure.
